Songkran is the most joyous traditional New Year's holiday of the year for Thais, with many city dwellers returning home to their families for the festivities. In April, the hottest month in Thailand, people prepare to start praying for good luck for the new year. Fun-loving young people splash water on each other to collect good luck for the whole year, splashing water on each other to get wet without feeling angry or humiliated, as water symbolises blessings and cools everyone off during the hottest season.

Every year at the end of March, Fullchamp organises a water festival to help those Thai brothers who are unable to return to their hometown to relieve their homesickness.The 2023 Water Festival was held on 27 March from 1pm to 4pm at the square in front of the Thai brothers' hostel. In addition to preparing a generous amount of food to thank the hard-working Thai brothers, the Welfare Committee also invited the Thai Fast Food Truck to prepare Thai milk tea, golden fried chicken and sour and spicy pepper chicken to celebrate the Water Festival.
